These products have been developed by leveraging the expertise of Satrec Initiative (SI) in Earth observation satellite systems.

Earth Observation (EO) Systems

Satrec Initiative-US (SI-US) offers the world’s most flexible, reliable, and cost effective platforms for small satellite payloads. The SI-100 platform ranges from 80-100 kg, the SI-200 platform ranges from 100-200 kg, and the SI-300 ranges from 200-300 kg. These standard platforms are essentially the basic satellite bus onto which various payloads can be applied (such as firm’s line of electro-optical payloads). SI-US also offers flight proven integrated satellite bus and electro-optical payload systems that can offer 1-10 meter resolution Earth imaging capabilities.

Earth Observation (EO) Payloads

Satrec Initiative-US (SI-US) offers various affordable small satellite payloads for various earth imaging applications. SI-US offers a range of electro-optical payloads that have capabilities ranging from 10 meter to 1 meter Ground Sampling Distance (GSD) for panchromatic images and 15 meter to 4 meter GSD for multi-spectral bands. It also offers a 100-channel hyper-spectral imaging system.

Spacecraft Components

Satrec Initiative-US (SI-US) offers a full-line of cost-effective and qualified small satellite components. The line of components currently available includes GPS receivers, magnetometers, magnetic torque drivers/rods, S-band transponders, X-band transmitters, star trackers, and sun sensors. Specifically, SI-US’s satellite attitude control systems are in high demand due to their quality, flight heritage, and affordability. SI also possesses powerful in-house capabilities to design, manufacture, and verify most satellite components.

Spacecraft Spin-Offs: Eco-Friendly Radiation Detector

Satrec Initiative-US (SI-US) offers its Eco-Friendly Radiation Detector (EFRD), a compact environmental radiation monitoring system. Derived from its satellite system development experience, the EFRD has two unique functions: discrimination of artificial radiation from background sources and temperature stabilization of the acquired spectrum. The EFRD system can be installed in an open environment without any additional shelter or air-conditioning. SI has installed EFRD systems in China, Thailand, Malaysia, Qatar and South Korea for a diverse range of applications including powerplant and oil processing/mining facility monitoring.
